Catechists mostly cover big distances. They have to reach their villages to attend school and mass, they visit sick people and help where help is needed. Furthermore they stay in contact with the parish and the diocese – namely without telephone! Distances of more than 20 kilometres are not uncommon. Bicycles are sturdy and easy to maintain. They are the ideal help for catechists in their work for the Gospel and human beings.
