Overcoming distances

An area of 10,000 km², about the size of the province of Carinthia. There is not a single car. These regions still exist. This is exactly where MIVA is active and helps with vital mobility. To transport sick people to hospital, to make it easier for school staff and children to get to school, to enable priests, missionaries and doctors to reach far-flung outstations, to transport relief supplies and medicines, to bring building materials to the villages and much more.

Without reliable mobility, many things are not possible in the countries of the Global South. When MIVA finances a car, it is anything but a luxury item. It is all too often about people's survival. In this way, a MIVA car not only overcomes spatial distances, but also distances from person to person.
